A church wedding is about far more than a beautiful building. It’s an opportunity to make lifelong promises before God, surrounded by the people who matter most, and to begin married life with his blessing.

At St Saviour’s, we’d be honoured to help you prepare for this special day and create a service that reflects both the Christian meaning of marriage and your own story as a couple.

A Christian Marriage Service

Every wedding at St Saviour’s follows the Church of England marriage service, where couples make lifelong vows before God and those gathered to witness them.

Within that service there is plenty of opportunity to make the day personal. Together we can help you choose hymns, readings and music that are meaningful to you, and we’ll guide you through each part of the planning process.

Whether you’re planning a simple ceremony or a larger celebration, we’ll work with you to create a service that is joyful, reverent and memorable.

Can we get married here?

Many couples are entitled to marry at St Saviour’s because they live within the parish or have another qualifying connection with the church.

If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, please get in touch. We’ll be happy to talk through your circumstances and explain the options available.

If you live in the parish but are getting married in another Church of England church, you’ll usually need your banns of marriage to be read here before your wedding. We can explain how this works and help you arrange everything you need.
